Senior Accountant

RFM Group is seeking an entrepreneurial-minded, senior level CPA to be an integral part of our experienced team with offices in Mt. Pleasant and Midland. This is an excellent opportunity to step into an established office and be part of a culture that values team members and clients. Our services are diverse and this position would require a broad knowledge across many types of businesses. Other focuses include business consulting and tax related engagements.

Essential Qualifications:

• CPA Certification
• Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with current clients
• Ensure that projects are completed accurately and timely
• Prepare monthly and daily billings for services performed
• Prepare, review and sign tax returns and financial (primarily compilations)
• Collaborate with staff and partners on projects when expertise on the situation presented is lacking
• A minimum of seven years recent experience in public accounting with progressive responsibility

Preferred Qualifications:

• In-depth tax knowledge at the state and federal levels
• Understanding of GAAP and proper financial statement presentation
• Knowledge of QuickBooks and other accounting software
• Develop new business using referral sources, involvement in the community and marketing strategies
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage and motivate staff

Administrative Assistant

We are looking for an efficient, well-organized, detail-oriented administrative assistant to
perform customer service and answering telephones at the front desk including general
office duties in a busy accounting firm. To be successful as an Administrative Assistant,
candidates must be able to hold all materials in extreme confidentiality. Candidate
should also be professional, polite, accurate and comfortable with computers and
general office tasks.

This is a part-time position with the potential to move to full-time in the future. Hours can
be flexible and based on mutual schedules and availability.

Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:

• Greeting and assisting clients at the front desk
• Answering multi-line telephone system
• Handling office tasks, such as mail, scanning, filing, creating file folders and copying general information.
• Assembling tax returns and financial statements.
• Running errands locally to clients, banks, UPS, the post office and any other local destination required in the normal course of business.
• Maintaining general inventory of office supplies.
• Possibility of light bookkeeping such as data entry

Preferred Qualifications:

•Experience in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel & Outlook) and Adobe
• Familiar with QuickBooks
• Previous light bookkeeping experience
• Effective time management
• Strong attention to detai
